Edward McField Jr., Ph.D., M.S.A
Ed McField, bicultural and multi-lingual, brings a decade of experience in non-profit management, community capacity building, health policy analysis, and a passion for service in favor of underserved communities. His professional expertise includes leading a variety of educational, health, housing, and economic development programs. Mr. McField served communities in Latin America in many leading development organizations including the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) and Plan International. Most recently he served with Habitat for Humanity International as International Program Officer and Regional Organizational Development Consultant leading strategic planning, policy advocacy training, change management, and board development within assigned territories. He was responsible for designing community empowerment strategies and provided managerial oversight for programs in Nicaragua, Belize, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.
After graduating with highest honors with a degree in Business Administration specializing in Management he earned a Masters in Community Development. Dr. McField completed his PhD in Social Policy and Social Research at Loma Linda University with a dual interest in community development and health care policy. His research addresses social and health inequities by strengthening community relations (social capital) and civic engagement among minority populations in Southern California. He is currently the Executive Director of the Latino Health Collaborative, the premier community-based Latino-focused health coalition in the Inland Empire, Southern California.
Edward has been married for 10 years with Jennie Milliner, whom he first met on a plane. Together they have an 9yr-old son, E.J. (Edward Jesiah).
