Sana Loue, J.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., M.S.S.A.
Dr. Sana Loue is a Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and serves as the Director of the School’s Center for Minority Public Health. Dr. Loue holds secondary appointments in the Departments of Bioethics, in Psychiatry, and in Global Health. She is trained as lawyer (J.D.), epidemiologist (M.P.H. and Ph.D.), medical anthropologist (Ph.D), educator (M.A.), and social worker (B.A., M.S.S.A.). She is also an ordained interfaith minister. Dr. Loue's empirical research focuses on issues related to HIV risk behaviors, mental illness, family violence, and the construction of gender and sexual orientation and presentation. Her theoretical research focuses on research ethics and on forensic epidemiology.
